This program calculates the Gear Train Ratio (GTR) required to produce the thread you requested, then attempts to find a new gear that could be added to your preferred gear train to get the required GTR and thread. Start by going through items 1-5A in the menu. When it comes to entering a thread pitch or TPI, choose a single value not a range. Then choose this step again. The program replaces each gear in the train, one at a time. Since this is restricted to the preferred gear train that you entered, it does not find all possibe gears, but merely hints at some possibilities. When a new gear is listed it is presented as a link that you can click. This adds the gear to your personal list and runs the usual program again to allow you to look for any new threads it produces.
